Learning Support Staff/Teacher Aides
The teacher aides work within the classroom settings or in the Open Learning Area. They support either one student or a small group of students with the same identified need.
Reading Recovery is an early literacy intervention program. It aims to help students develop reading and writing skills so that they develop greater independence. Reading Recovery is available to selected students in Year one. Students are assessed at the beginning of the year and monitored throughout the year to ensure that Reading Recovery is available to the students who need it most. Students are removed from the classroom for 30 minutes of individual instruction for four days a week.
